Microsoft Redesigns the Ipod Packaging

Those of you who know me know I HATE crap ass ugly product packaging. When you make a box to sell your product it's to your benifit to make the package as attractive and "eye appealing" as possible to attract any potential buyers, sway the undecidied, commit the impulse purchase and reinforce purchase satasifaction on people who have already bought your product. On top of that it just plain looks like you love your own damn product rather than looking like a money generator for you.

Check out the video, perfect example of how some companies jack-up product packaging made by some very competent designers.

Superman Returns...unfortuately so does Clark Kent

I saw Superman Returns last night. I know everyone is going to be asking me how it is (if they already haven't), so I'll put it this way:

When Superman is on the screen it's completely awesome. When Clark Kent is on the screen it's kinda boring. When Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacy) is on the screen, it's great for all but maybe one scene (and sometimes the scenes are just a tad long).

I was going to go into detail and nitpick (ie "Geek Out") on the movie but the IGN review nails how I felt about the movie almost EXACTLY on the head. I only disagreed on one part of the review and I'll hide the text so I won't spoil the movie if you haven't already seen it. Highlight the text if you want to read it anyway:

I disagree that the kid (Superman's Son) detracts from the movie but I also don't think he really adds anything, even to Superman's character. He could have be cut from the movie and the movie would be fine but in the same respect I don't think that when he slams the piano into one of Luthor's thugs it's a "Jump the Shark" moment. IF he's going to be in the movie I think that scene was necessary.

Anyway, read the review, except for that one bit, it sums up how I feel about the movie. It IS worth seeing for the special effect scenes on the big screen though. Maybe not worth paying full price ($10 where I live!) but a matinee price or discounted tickets would be ideal.

Cash Eater

Goddamn Comic-Con is going to take all my money...

Death Prediction

Christopher Foose: At age 66, you will become lost during a road trip and wind up living out the movie "Wrong Turn". Sorry for ya.

SDCC booth swag shown at Penny Arcade

Gabe over at Penny Arcade posted a copy of their pricing sign for the "Merch" they're selling from their booth at SDCC. I usually make a stop at their table and buy a few things from them. I'm so tempted by the "Jesus saying: 'Don't be a Dick' shirt". It fits my weird sense of humor.

I'm really starting to look forward to SDCC this year. Hanging out in San Diego for the better part of a week is always fun and Wes, Danielle and I have finally been able to drag Joe out to the show after years of arm twisting. Now we can spread the misery of buying crap we don't really need.

1st post and nothing to say...

...well nothing important to say anyway. Logged back in to my old blogger account for the first time in several years. I'm going to link the FooseTV URL here at some point to temporarily make this my home page until I get a more functional site up and running. I'm doing this mainly because I've had alot on my mind lately and because it seems like I have adult ADD. I've been reading alot of crap inbetween things I'm supposed to do. So, I might actually be doing a proper blog instead of some boring journal of my life. Me doing something the right way for a change? ...scary thought.
